The Forest of the World in Prince George was established in 1986. In the forest there are trail surrounded by mostly Spruce pine and Douglas fir. There are some trails in the Forest of the World that are even wheelchair and baby stroller assessable.
If at any time you are getting tired or just want to relax in the wonderful outdoors, there are always picnic tables, barbeque pits, fire pits, viewing platforms and also convenient public restrooms, just in case.
While you are walking along the trails you will see some signs, telling you about the shrubs, plants, and trees that you may find on your pleasant walk in the forest. Along with shrubs and trees, you could find some wildlife, such as bears, cougars, moose, or some small adorable reptiles.
In the Forest of the World you will find Shane Lake Reflection Lake. In the lake there is a beaver dam, that moose and birds visit. On the trail you have a great view on Cranbrook Hill and of the Nechako River. Be sure to visit The Forest of the World if you get the chance to.
